About
Nihan Seda Kişi graduated from the Faculty of Law at Marmara University in 2008. In the same year, she commenced her legal internship and subsequently worked for four and a half years at one of Istanbul's most prestigious law firms. During this period, she provided legal consultancy services to a wide range of companies operating in diverse sectors, including textiles, technology, information technology, and construction. She played an active role in the merger and acquisition processes of medium- and large-scale companies and was involved in all related legal procedures such as shareholders' agreements, share option plans, and contracts — including in some of Turkey’s pioneering angel investment projects.
In addition to representing her clients in litigation and enforcement proceedings, she prioritized compliance and risk prevention efforts from the early stages of her career. She has adopted a proactive legal approach focused on taking adequate and necessary precautions to prevent potential disputes.
In 2012, she joined another well-established law firm offering legal consultancy to both foreign investors and domestic enterprises. Her work there primarily focused on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, labor law, and capital markets. In 2014, she began serving as a legal counsel at Türkmen Group, one of Turkey’s leading conglomerates, where she also contributed significantly to legal matters in the yachting and civil aviation sectors.
In 2015, she was recognized among “Turkey’s Most Powerful General Counsels” by Legal 500, and in 2016, she was also included in its list of “Best Legal Teams.” In 2017, she participated as a speaker at the IIPLA 3rd Global Intellectual Property Summit held in Brussels.
Since 2013, She has also been registered as a trademark attorney, handling the registration of trademarks and industrial designs both in Turkey and internationally. Since transitioning to freelance practice in 2018, she has also served as a sworn translator from English to Turkish.
